According to security consultancy Armorize, Hackers managed to attack the most popular ad networks of Microsoft's and Google for a brief period this week which directed the clicked users to malware content.
The attacks which lasted for few days were started around Dec. 5, directed victims who clicked on the ads to malicious Web pages. Which installed backdoor program and controlled victims PC and some asked to by bogus security products.
Google was quick to acknowleged the problem and rectified within short period of time.
Where as Microsoft didn't like to comment on this matter until the matter behind it was looked into. But the person who clicked the infected ad, if had updated security software were safe because the exploited bugs were previously identified by many security software providers.
