At $110 billion, Trefis estimates Microsoft as Most Valuable Software Co.

Trefis Team comes up with their estimate of "Most Valuable Software Franchise" for the year 2010, according to them, Microsoft’s Windows Operating System emerged as the single most valuable software business segment in 2010, followed by IBM’s Middleware.

If we compare with their previous analysis(Nov 09), IBM’s Middleware topped the chart with at $103 billion followed by Microsoft Windows OS's at at $101 billion.

Other Companies which made to Trefis list were Oracle and EMC apart from IBM and Microsoft.
