Microsoft Research Lab shows Vermeer, a 'touchable' 360-degree holographic display.


Vermeer, it’s a 360 degree spinning display covered with glass dome like structure. It uses IR (Infra Red) Sensors, which tracks the hand motion and touch. The Holographic image (3D) is formed in between the glass dome, with the help of parabolic reflectors. In the below video, they have explained, how Vermeer Works.

Windows 7 Mobile "App Hub" now accepts Apps submission for China and Five other countries.


With a view of expanding its Virtual Store, Microsoft’s App Hub now enable you to distribute apps and games to even more customers in more countries. App Hub now allows you to submit apps for distribution in 6 new markets, viz., China, Argentina, Indonesia, Peru, Malaysia and the Philippines. 

The Apps from the countries like China, Indonesia and Malaysia, may have to wait a little while compared to other three countries as they are subjected to additional requirements due to local laws, regulations or norms.
