With the increase in worry of grabbing its market share, Microsoft, world's largest software company, does a major overhaul to it's office tools to provide seamless Cloud sync.
Now the revamped application which include Outlook email, Excel spreadsheets and SharePoint collaboration tools are churned into an online format so that customers or the users can use them on a various devices with help of internet connection.
With this announcement, Microsoft shares rose 3.7 per cent on Monday, the largest gain in a single trading day since September.
Chief Executive Steve Ballmer is set to present an overhauled and updated set of offerings - collectively called Office 365 - at an event in New York City on Tuesday morning.
